Tanning Salon Hygiene

It is vital to find a tanning salon that cleans their own tanning beds. Some tanning salons require patrons to clean their tanning beds after tanning, but this is rarely enforced, and is almost always forgotten. Take the time to search out a tanning salon that takes pride in having clean tanning beds that they clean thoroughly with disinfectant after every use. If you feel unsure about the cleanliness of your tanning bed, ask that it be cleaned again, or bring a cleaning wipe with you.

When you get into your tanning room, there should be a clean towel waiting for you, with clean tanning goggles. There should be a place to dispose of used towels and goggles. It is also easy to bring your own towel and to purchase your own goggles, and then you can rest assured that what you are using is clean.

Don’t be afraid to talk to the employees of the tanning salon and inquire into their hygienic protocol. This should be a top priority to them, and should come across in their explanation of their cleaning duties. Check out the tanning rooms and the bathrooms before committing your time, money, and energy to a tanning salon. Tanning hygiene and cleanliness are incredibly important to avoid sickness, infection, and disease.
